Topic: Matt Bloxham, a freshwater ecologist from Auckland Council, was a speaker in the Intergenerational Stories sector at the Manukau Harbour Symposium 2025. In his presentation, Matt reflects on the changing state of our waterways and the role of mātauranga, science, and stewardship in restoring and protecting freshwater ecosystems. His kōrero connects past and present efforts to ensure the health of our harbour for future generations.

This presentation was part of a full-day wānanga focused on restoring the health and creating hope for the Manukau Harbour, supported by the Manukau Harbour Forum, Auckland Council.
